Dayton Wingmasters Field & Rules

The Dayton Wingmasters field is jointly maintained by the City of Dayton Parks and Recreation Department and the Dayton Wingmasters Model Airplane Club, AMA charter #499.

  • Current AMA membership and FAA(UAS Registration) is required to fly any RC aircraft.
  • Except electric powered aircraft and sailplanes, gas powered flying is PROHIBITED before 10:00 am weekdays and 12:00 pm on Sundays.
  • Mufflers are required for engines lager that .051 CID.
  • Appropriate frequency “Flags” must be attached to the transmitter is flying 72 Mhz.
  • Upon entering and leaving the field the field complex gate must be locked.
  • Vehicles must be parked in the parking area once you are done unloading your equipment.
  • Parking aircraft north of the taxiway is prohibited.
  • Pilots are responsible for the proper conduct and behavior of their guests, family, and pets.

Dayton Wingmasters Flying Facility is the regions premiere flying facility.  A paved 440 ft long runway, on site electric, 12 and 24 volt charging stations, a covered shelter and multiple work areas are some of the benefits for flying at the Wingmasters Facility.  3D Image of the flying field !
